Back At It
It has been a long but productive running week.
I had my first 20 mile week since last year's marathon and I met my fantastic new R2R 2010 team! It took some work organizing around a bunch of things but I did manage to fit in a few hours of volunteer time at a NYRR race this week as well.
This week I'm aiming for another 20-22 mile week. Like last week, I'm sure this will involve a few really early morning runs. I don't know why I never learn my lesson but yesterday's 7 miler didn't get started until about 11am, which means I was running during one of the hottest points of the day. I've got to stop doing that!
Last year I lost about 25 pounds before the marathon. I have managed to put back around 10 of them. So I need to get back close to that weight, and hopefully lower than that. Now that I've announced it to the world (well, the teeny, tiny, perhaps nonexistent world of my blog readers), it has to be done, right?
