10 Miles

I skipped the 5 miler and felt better. So I did the 10 miler. It took forever since I am already slow and it was hot and humid out. It felt good to finish and I am happy that today I don't feel a lot of ill effects. Of course, I followed my run with stretching, and ice bath, and further icing of hot spots. I think it is time for new shoes. And I have to remember that when I am doing long runs, I need Gatorade AND water. I had Gatorade and GU mouth and I needed to clean it out a bit so I turned on our hose and got a nice mouthful of hose water. Yuck! Thankfully several neighbors in my community were watering their lawns so I had some relief there.
